Refereeing

So there have been a few complaints about refs this season, more than usual. The WAKA Kickball rules aren't all that complicated and all the rules are listed online on the WAKA website. Unfortunately most of the problems though are coming not because refs don't know the rules as much as refs not paying attention. Next week, before the games are played I will hold a ref clinic at 6:30 on field A. Anyone who is supposed to ref next week should be there, along with anyone else who wants to get a better understanding of reffing a game. In the meantime you can click on the WAKA Rulebook logo to view the rules.

Lets hope this works but it sounds like most of the complaints aren't so much about ref's not knowing the the rules as they are about refs not paying attention. If you ref, pay attention and make the call when it comes to you.

How well do you know the rules?

Thank you, Tyrus!

Making a bad call or being uninformed about the rules is one thing.

Investigating your nose cavity for tasty treats and sticking your thumb up your ass while you daydream about Scarlet's sweet ass and pretend to make calls is a whole different ballgame.

I hate to call anyone out (yellow team 1st base ref), but when you are responsible for calling a close game in the bottom of the last inning, you might want to pay attention to the fucking game.

If you can't give both teams the common courtesy of at least paying attention, then you might as well just stay home and let someone else fill in for you.

And, another thing...

If your team wins a game due to an obvious blown call by the ref, it's best to save the shit talking for another occasion.

If you just can't control your excitement, perhaps you can offer a free reach around to the referee responsible for your win?

I'm sure he would appreciate the friendly, little "pick me up" before his game...

Unfortunately, this does not reflect the feelings of the entire White Team. We are upset about some calls but have not been letting it fester. After reading the last post, I have to admit it’s hard to believe Nick Reynolds is no longer on the team (all veterans should understand this).

I do agree with the comment about Scarlet's sweet ass though. That would be one of the more (well, most) intelligent comments from the previous post. Whether raging on vodka shots from Ukrainians or "roids" lets just enjoy the season...
